The Yantang Photovoltaic Production Base in Hangzhou is a leading Chinese manufacturer specializing in cadmium telluride (CdTe) photovoltaic materials.
The project showcases an innovative open-unit photovoltaic curtain wall system on its facade, effectively addressing the integration challenges between photovoltaic components and curtain wall structures. By leveraging BIM (Building Information Modeling) for construction planning, the design team streamlined complex assembly processes. Parametric design techniques were also employed to optimize cost efficiency.
Through the seamless fusion of these advanced technologies, the project has developed a unique architectural language—one that harmoniously blends functionality with aesthetic form. This integration exemplifies how cutting-edge engineering and architectural design can collaborate to create sustainable, cost-effective, and visually striking structures.
